Sunflower Studio offers children the opportunity to explore their creativity in a fun and nurturing artistic environment through art classes for kids ages 4-12.
AFTER-SCHOOL ART CLASSES
Students create original artworks inspired by the work of famous artists, and gain skills across many media including drawing, painting, sculpting, and printmaking.
Tuition: $600 per semester (15 weeks) including all supplies.
ART CAMP SCHEDULE:
May Mini Art Camp: Thursday, May 21 & Friday, May 22 | 9:30am-12pm
Theme: Around the World. Learn drawing and collage techniques while making maps using watercolor and colored pencil and a collage of the Earth using magazine pages. $120 per student. Register here.
Summer Art Camp Week 1 | June 1-4 | 9:30am-12pm
Under the Sea: Practice sketching, watercolor, and sculpting techniques while making fun beach scenes and aquatic animals.
Summer Art Camp Week 2 | June 8-11 | 9:30am-12pm
Jungle Animals: Create a large-scale oil pastel of your favorite jungle animal, as well as an air dry clay sculpture. We’ll also learn sketching and painting techniques.
Summer Art Camp Week 3 | June 15-18 | 9:30am-12pm
Impressionist Painting: Learn about the French Impressionist painters, and create your own painting on canvas and oil pastel drawing in the Impressionist style.
Summer Art Camp Week 4 | July 6-9 | 9:30am-12pm
Architecture & Interior Design: Learn about the built environment and all that goes into designing a building. Sketch your own floor plan of your dream house, create a model of a building out of cardboard, and learn sketching and painting techniques while designing patterns for wallpaper and fabrics.

NEW: Summer Clay Days | 2 days in July or August | 9:30am-12pm
Pick two days in July and August to make sculptures with air dry clay and come back to paint them! We need a minimum of 4 students to make a class. Email melissa@sunflowerpressdesign.com to schedule. $120 per student.

Holiday Craft Camp: November 24 & 25, 2025 We made wrapping paper, ornaments, and gift tags to get into the holiday spirit while learning printmaking and painting techniques.
Holiday Craft Camp: December 22 & 23, 2025 We made cardboard gingerbread houses to get into the holiday spirit while learning drawing, painting, and collage techniques.
Canvas Painting Camp: January 5, 2025 We created unique compositions while learning drawing and painting techniques.
Canvas Painting Camp: Saturday, February 21, 2026 We sketched and painted cityscapes on canvas and made model magic sculptures of cities.
Spring Break Clay Camp: Monday, March 9 & Tuesday, March 10, 2026 We learned sculpture and painting techniques while making sculptures and functional objects out of air dry clay.
Easter Craft Camp: Friday, April 3, 2026 A one-day Easter craft camp for kids to learn drawing and painting techniques while making Easter eggs and bunnies.
